Control the Weather at New Exhibit
Have a fun excursion planned for the family this weekend? If you’re still open to suggestions, we recommend a trip to space, or rather, nearby Fort Worth this Saturday, June 2, for the opening day of The Zula Patrol – Mission Weather at the C.R. Smith Museum. The interactive science exhibit is based on The Zula Patrol, the kids’ animated television series about a team of cute and colorful aliens as they travel through space to learn about the Solar System.
Kids can get behind control panels to simulate weather conditions – like gusting winds, the patter of rainfall and claps of thunder – and can apply scientific methods as they discover what weather is, how it works on Earth and what that means for us down below.
Show up for free admission all day, and don’t miss the museum’s opening celebration for the exhibit from 9am–noon. Can’t make it this weekend? Visit the science exhibit on Tuesday–Sunday through September 16. Visit www.crsmithmuseum.org for more information.
