We are happy to share that the Creative Arts Theatre & School in Arlington, the 33-year-old nonprofit whose building suffered a devastating fire on the night of July Fourth, has sprung back and is now offering a new schedule of classes for September 2012 through May 2013 at its “new” location at 602 E. South St, which is behind the theatre’s original site.
The school’s volunteers and students have shown a tremendous amount of fortitude, holding a teen summer camp in July and a benefit performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Creative Arts is continuing to raise money to move forward and to find a permanent home. At the time of the fire, the school was planning to sell its location at Randol Mill Road and raising money to move to a lower cost location.
