Conway’s Corndogs are always a popular draw at the Prestonwood Fall Festival


Miss out on the festivities this weekend? Never fear – Halloween proper is this Wednesday and there are still plenty of ways to celebrate. Check out these family-friendly events happening on October 31 around the DFW area:

Fall Festival at The Fields at Carrollton Parkway
Carrollton – 5:30–8:30pm; Free
First Baptist Church Carrollton hosts the 36th annual Fall Festival, with carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, a petting zoo, refreshments and lots of candy. Food from Chick-fil-A and Christina’s available for purchase.

Fall Festival at Prestonwood Baptist Church
Plano – 6–9pm; Free admission and games
Join Prestonwood for a safe evening of games, pony rides, food trucks, inflatables, a petting zoo and more. Euro Bungee, Survivor Zip Line and other big attractions available for a nominal fee.

Scare on the Square at Historic Downtown McKinney
McKinney – 4–6pm; Free
Go trick-or-treating at the downtown center, walk through a pumpkin patch, compete in the “Be Green on Halloween” costume contest and watch a performance by the McTown Clowns at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.

Trunk-or-Treat at City Hall
Lake Dallas – 4–6pm; Free
Go trick-or-treating at a tailgate party hosted by local businesses and community organizations and enjoy games, hayrides and juggling acts.

Trick or Treating at Firewheel Town Center
Garland – 5:30–7:30pm; Free
Wear your costume and trick or treat at participating stores in Firewheel Town Center.

Street ‘N Treat at Market Square
Grand Prairie – 6–8pm; Free
Costume up and head to 120 W. Main Street for trick-or-treating, games, bounce houses and more. Local businesses will be open for shopping, too.

All Hallows Eve Train at the Cotton Belt Depot
Grapevine – 7pm; $20 per person
Wear your costume and go for a ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Ghostly fun for the whole family.

Treat Street at Stockyards Station
Fort Worth – 6–8pm; Free
Celebrate Halloween with a trick-or-treating event at the stockyards with games and activities by Radio Disney, pumpkin painting, hay rides and a costume contest.
