What To Do Tomorrow: Friday, February 1

For the shortest month of the year, February sure has plenty of holidays: Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Fat Tuesday, not to mention the Super Bowl and Groundhog Day. (Sorry, Leap Year babies. This is not your year.) So plan for February 1 with first prizes and a few first Friday events.

Charlotte’s Web
Catch the opening weekend stage production of one of the most loved children’s books since its publication 60 years ago. Allen’s Community Theatre will present the play about the award-winning pig and his poetic friend at 8pm on Friday at Allen Christian Church. Online tickets are $16 for adults and $11 for children.

First Friday at the Farm
Take the family to Nash Farm in Grapevine for a new series of life skills demonstrations to teach us how late 19th-century families made it through less modern times. Enjoy the first program about “foodways” from 10am–2pm for only $3.

First Friday Denton
Stroll through the art galleries at Denton’s downtown square, listen to live music and see works by featured artists at this monthly event for art lovers. The hub of activity will be at A Creative Art Studio, where you can enjoy a Valentine Make a Shrine activity. Then stop by Scrap to see artworks made from reused materials by students in Denton ISD.
