What To Do Tomorrow: Friday, February 22

The Big Bad Musical
With a name like the “Big Bad Wolf,” we knew he’d end up in court one day. Now the kids can see the fairy tale nemesis goes on trial for his crimes in a children’s musical presented by the Frisco Area Children’s Theater. See the “howling courtroom comedy” at 7pm Friday in the Black Box Theater at Frisco Discovery Center. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Celebrate Black History Month
Whether you know him as Louis Armstrong or his nickname, Satchmo, you must know one of his most famous songs, What a Wonderful World. Listen storyteller Genie Hammel of the Interurban Railway Museum and her puppet Rags tell about a train that hears the song by the New Orleans-born jazz vocalist and trumpet player at this free program for toddlers and preschool-aged children at 10:30am. Call to register. Stick around after the story time to explore the model train display and climb aboard Interurban Rail Car 360, manufactured in 1911, located outside the museum.

Preschool Discovery Club
The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge will lead an educational program about beavers for children ages 3–5 from 10:30–11:30am. Registration is required. The program is $10 per child; admission is $5 for adults. If the beavers are out in the evening, you can get a chance to see them, or at least hear their tails slapping the water, on the Full Moon Paddle at 6pm. Kids 5 and older can join their parents in a canoe with provided life jackets. Call today to register.
