What To Do Tomorrow: Wednesday, February 6

Focus exhibit at The Modern
Take the family to see an exhibit by British and Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare MBE that explores colonialism (MBE stands for Shonibare’s title as Member of the Order of the British Empire, not too shabby) at the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. One interesting work in his collection, on view through March 24, is actually a video. Have a seat to watch Odile and Odette as two ballerinas dance from the Swan Lake in reflection of each other. Watch them dance the solos and decide who you think is the Black Swan.

Early Dance Movements
If the kids want to learn some dance moves of their own, head to NorthPark Center in Dallas for Bookmarks’ free ballet class by instructor Amanda Dalton, who will lead aspiring dancers through hand and body movements for beginners at 10:30am.

Ballet not your style? How about a free lesson in martial arts? Get an introduction to taekwondo and learn basic moves in a program for all ages at Irving’s Central Library from 7–8pm.
